Fundraising for the fight against leprosy

In February 2020 , I took part in a fundraiser for the fight against leprosy , organized in a very dynamic setting: the Terrasses du Port shopping center in Marseille.

This experience, much more human than it seems, allowed me to confront the reality on the ground : the one where you have to go towards others, capture their attention, and transmit a strong message to them, in a few seconds.

There I learned to:

• Approach passersby with respect and confidence

• Adapt my speech to different profiles

• Developing my patience and perseverance

• And above all, to listen and understand people's reactions

  
  

It was a real exercise in negotiation, non-verbal communication and resilience , in a busy but demanding environment. This moment remains for me a good example of how community involvement can build skills useful in all areas, including professional ones.
